The Arts Judaica program, sponsored by the non-profit Open Space Arts, employs the transformative power of art to celebrate the essence of Jewish culture, pay homage to its rich history, and staunchly combat the rising tide of antisemitism. In 2024, Arts Judaica envisions the staging of two full-scale theater productions, complemented by a diverse array of monthly film screenings, play readings, lectures, musical showcases, and art events, all dedicated to advancing our mission.
Arts Judaica at Open Space Arts in Chicago is currently seeking submissions for original scripts exploring the rich tapestry of Jewish history and culture.
Whether it's a poignant drama, a whimsical comedy, or a thought-provoking historical piece, we want to hear from you.
Please send us the first 10 pages of your script as a sample, preferably in Word or PDF, with AJ SUBMISSIONS to openspacearts2022@gmail.com. We look forward to diving into your creative visions and celebrating the diversity of Jewish narratives through the performing arts. The Submission deadline is July 1, 2024.
We have a great mission and great projects, but need help building the organizational structure needed to achieve our goals!
Please send an email with a note of interest to openspacearts2022@gmail.com.
