Open Space Arts is seeking a Non-Equity Stage Manager for The Real Black Swann, a powerful one-person touring production celebrating the legacy of William Dorsey Swann — the first known Black drag performer and LGBTQ+ activist in the U.S.

July 20 & 27 at 2:00 PM
Run time: Approximately 75 minutes
Open Space Arts produces bold, intimate, LGBTQ+ theater experiences with small casts and big impact. Recent productions include Scandalous Boy, Mr. Parker, Mercy Killing, and Light Switch, along with reimagined queer classics and overlooked gems.

Open Space Arts (OSA) is seeking a Dialect Coach for the American Premiere of GANGSTA BABY by Cameron Raasdal-Munro, directed by Rikki Beadle-Blair (MBE). The characters in the plays are from Hastings, UK, and are working class.
Located in a Chicago storefront theater in Uptown with an intimate 25-seat house, OSA specializes in small-cast productions and 90-minute immersive experiences. Our recent productions include the Chicago premieres of Scandalous Boy, it's been ten year since they all died, Mr. Parker, Mercy Killing, and Light Switch. We also bring fresh interpretations to LGBTQ+ classics and rediscover neglected gems.
Some coaching sessions will happen during the summer, with full rehearsal s starting August 17 for Sept 19 opening.
Fee is $400, plus additional stipend if show extends.
