Get Ready for Dark Comedy with a Twist! "Mercy Killing" Takes the Stage this November
We're thrilled to announce the next show in Open Space Arts' QUEER EXPRESSION series – Mercy Killing by Alandra Hileman, coming to our intimate Chicago venue from November 1-17! This dark comedy promises an unforgettable mix of romance, suspense, and quirky characters.
The play follows Mercy, a coffee shop barista with a secret: she’s also a serial killer. The only person in on her secret? Thana, the Grim Reaper, who’s also Mercy’s sort-of-girlfriend. Their relationship gets even more complicated when Mercy starts flirting with Angie, a true crime podcaster suspicious there’s a serial killer on the loose. Add Thana’s jealous ex, Harmon (also a Grim Reaper), and you’ve got a hilariously dark love triangle with life-and-death stakes!
