Submit you play to QUEER EXPRESSION

QUEER EXPRESSION at Open Space Arts in Chicago is currently seeking comic or uplifting submissions that are cleverly plotted with memorable queer characters. Settings can be historical or contemporary.  Small cast and simple theatrical needs are preferred right now. But if you want to send larger projects for future consideration, we will consider them as time allows. We look forward to diving into your creative visions that celebrate the diversity of queer narratives through the performing arts. Our audience is intergenerational, and they love a good story with great characters that extend beyond stereotypes. The audiences are ready to laugh, think, and be moved! 

If play has been produced please include a production history. or if there is a royalty restriction for Chicago, please let include that information in your initial email. 

We are seeking shows for the 2025 season and beyond.
