With just two characters locked in an intimate and emotionally volatile encounter, BLUE FILM unfolds like a psychological stage play—raw, claustrophobic, and impossible to look away from.

While cycling along the Danube with his family, 16-year-old Didac encounters a mysterious boy in the river. This unexpected meeting alters the course of their journey, stirring hidden tensions and shifting the family dynamic in subtle but profound ways. Beautifully shot and quietly mesmerizing, ESTRANY RIU unfolds as a tender, poetic coming-of-age story—an atmospheric exploration of adolescence, desire, and the fragile bonds that hold a family together.
ESTRANY RIU (Strange River) is primarily in Catalan, with additional dialogue in German and will be shown with English subtitles.
